I had high hopes for this particular product. I got another item from them which I was satisfied with, but this cassock didn't come out at all.
I was very meticulous about the measurements and I even took a video of myself taking the measurements and let them know that if there were any questions please to contact me. They didn't contact me at all until the package had already been shipped and when it arrived it was comically large and the proportions were quite off. The button placement on the sleeves was not right. The faux sleeves were far too large. The gap between the collar also at least 3 or 4 in wide which is just far too large.
I mentioned that I didn't need a Cape and they included the Cape sash also was at least 2 ft too long.
And the fabric was advertised as a wool blend but what arrived didn't drape like wool at all. It was extremely heavy, I've had drench coats that were less heavy than this.
You could tell it wasn't wool and that it was very heavy. By the way, it was draping everything was pulling down on the buttons. It was just in general nuts what I expected at all.
I waited several weeks before submitting this review because I had reached out to them with a complaint and I sent them a video of the problems but I heard back briefly and they said that they were going to look into it but then I never heard back again. So now I'm submitting the review.
I'd like to get this rectified if possible.
4 beautiful trimmed roman cassocks...separate capes in the trim color to be used for procession statue or canopy bearers, and cinctures in the trim color added a lot to the celebration of our patroness' feast day.
They were accurately constructed of nice material, and fit properly. Pretty much for the price, far exceed the quality of off-the-rack offerings.
Highly recommend using PSG, and will for future vestment and accessory purchases come back.
Delivery took a while, but when it arrived it looked great and well-made! Has a quality fit and is very comfortable. The gabardine fabric is really good too. Only issue I had was that the buttons are too tight and a little hard to unbutton, but overall I really like this cassock.
The cassock is a very nice material and the buttons and piping looks good. I gave accurate measurements as far as I know, but it still came out to be a tad small, especially around the armpits and back. I'm getting it altered. When others measure, I might suggest adding an extra inch or two to the chest or shoulder measurments. Maybe commenting how wide your arms are would be good too. The one-pleat is different from most cassocks I've seen from Europe and USA. It's "one-pleat", but the pockets on the side virtually add extra pleats. Most other cassocks I've seen are three pleat and the pockets are added inside of those please. The result is that the pocket pleats sit a little father forward on the hip than I was expecting. It gives the whole thing a tighter feeling than I was expecting. In other words, it doesn't hang as freely as other cassocks. For example, the side pocket-pleats are sewn to always be open and I think they're a bit higher than I was expecting. The pockets are not double pocketed--so you can't access your trouser pockets, only the cassock pockets. I requested a half lining, rather than a full lining, and they fulfilled that request perfectly. All this is to say, this cassock is not totally "Roman" in that its pleats and pockets are not like other Roman cassocks I've seen. I also requested 5-10 extra buttons and they threw in 15 at no cost! Fantastic! If I did it again, I'd probably purchase the three-pleat and request that they not be different colors and that the pockets be inserted into the outside pleats--that way the front and sides of the cassock don't have seams in the sides. I didn't think these tiny things were worth the hassle of returning, so I'm making it work. For the inexpensive price, I'm pleased-- I guess the fit is never going to be perfect when you don't go to the store to be measured by the tailor himself. The Indian cassock idiosyncrasies are not obvious enough to be bothersome.
This might be one of the nicest pieces of clothing I own now, it fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable, so much so that I know I will have business with this company again in the near future, they were very helpful with emailing me making sure that everything had the correct measurements, overall I’d like to thank the people behind this company for the absolutely wonderful vestments that they create.
